Elise and Alec’s wedding shot by Josh Gruetzmacher is just one of those that sweeps you off your feet at a quick peek at their images. Being an event designer herself, Elise designed her own wedding with scrumptious florals by A Simple Ceremony with carefully curated finds from thrift stores she and her husband have been collecting. Take it all in folks, because this is a read-and-bookmark-it-for-later to view it again and again kinda wedding.
From the bride, Elise: Alec and I met in high school through our mutual best friends who had dated in junior high. After 7 years of dating, Alec proposed at our favorite spot overlooking the city lights of our hometown. He proposed with his grandma’s vintage ring, which set the tone for the feel of our wedding.
What is your first thought when you hear the word dynamite? We bet it’s not pink lace and pearls, but for Tracy and Taylor (a.k.a T&T) they wanted to soften their nickname while still playing it up at their dynamite and pearls wedding in Southern California. This gorgeous event masterfully mixed hard and soft throughout the day by putting frilly pocket squares in the groomsman’s jackets and by wrapping lace and ribbons around confetti popper escort cards shaped like dynamite. We promise this wedding will blow you away!
This blast of a wedding was designed and coordinated by Beau & Arrow Events. Be sure to check out the full gallery here to see all of the amazing details captured beautifully by Swoon by Katie.

From the very beginning of Heather + Cheyne’s engagement, they had pictured an intimate European destination for their wedding. After debating the pros and cons of having their guests fly internationally and looking at different locations, the best of both worlds appeared! The stunning Sunstone Winery + Villa in the gorgeous Santa Ynez hills of California was the perfect Italian escape. With stunning design from Sterling Social and gorgeous florals from JL Designs the day was set. A bohemian vibe mixed with fresh herbs throughout the villa created the perfect Italian wedding. Here’s more about their day from Heather:
“Our wedding day was truly an extension of us and what we find most important in our everyday life. To us, family, friends, adventure, great food, music, dance parties and creating memories with our loved ones is what it’s all about! Our intent was to create an evening that encompassed just that and in a setting that felt as though we were enjoying dinner and a dance party with our closest friends. We wanted the day and entire weekend to feel intimate and most importantly authentic to the two of us, our personality and our relationship.”
Heather + Cheyne, congratulations on a gorgeous celebration + big thanks to Matthew Morgan Photography for sharing these beautiful images of their day with us!

There is not enough Tasmanian goodness on Polka Dot Bride and we are working to change it, starting with this Tasmanian winery wedding that has the most stunning decor and the bride in a beautiful coloured pink gown. Check it off the list for Tasmanian wedding glamour.
They tell their story .”It was a cold March night in Hobart. Like many couples we met at the Republic Bar and Cafe, an iconic watering hole for Tasmania. The last seats in the bar were at the table James was at, Johanna and her friends sat down and the rest is history!”
A woodsy wedding turned weekend escape – this fun loving bride and groom left the windy city to share their special day in a beautiful Michigan barn tucked in the woods. Blue Label vendor J Wiley Photography was there to capture their wedding day, filled with preppy-rustic inspiration.
